Faculty will have a different type of professional development opportunity this January in coordination with the Embrace the Dream celebration at NMC. Instead of a three-hour PD session following the opening conference, faculty will be directed to a variety of service opportunities that we can participate in before and after the semester starts. We’ll be doing good in the community while completing our professional development requirement. 

Come to our December 2 Friday Forum to learn more about this event. We’ll explain how this experience can enhance our teaching — it is PD after all! — and introduce you to some of the activities that you can participate in in January. We’ll be coordinating with United Way and presenting other meaningful one-time activities. 

 In the meantime, ask CIE board members or project partners at ELI and Embrace the Dream about the event. We are excited about this project, and we think you will be, too!
