Join us at the Oct. 3 Friday Forum for a review and discussion of our upcoming faculty advising responsibilities. Facilitators Brandon Everest from the Faculty Association and Lindsey Dickinson from Advising will share a big picture overview of the faculty advising program approved this summer in the collective bargaining agreement and gather faculty feedback.

New advising responsibilities start in Fall 2026, when all faculty will be assigned at least 12 student advisees. Logistical details and training for this new program are being developed now; Brandon and Lindsey need our help as they develop plans to make the new program effective for students and faculty. Come with ideas and questions!

Friday Forum starts at 12:30 with lunch, followed by the program. We meet in TJNIC 106/07.

Coming up: Two opportunities to discuss Co-Intelligence: Living and Working With AI. Kerrey Woughter will lead a discussion on Ethan Mollick’s bestseller during October Conference on Oct. 14. If you must miss Kerrey’s session, we will have a “make-up” Coffee Club discussion of the book on Oct. 17.
