Service learning integrating meaningful community service with instruction and reflection is on the rise.   NMC now provides support through Outreach Services, coordinated by Nicholeen Frusti.  As a beginning step in growing our existing service learning efforts, such as those by Kristi McDonald and Brandon Evererst, NMC is now a member of the national organization called  Campus Compact.

Campus_Compact_IconResources such as sample syllabi, program development ideas, and more are located on the Campus Compact website.  Additionally, NMC is a member of the Campus Compact Michigan Affiliate, connecting our campus with others across the state for networking, information sharing, and access to grant funding.

Have a passion to be involved beyond your classroom?
