Attention faculty! Project sessions at the October Conference will set the direction for our students, our courses, and our college community. Check out the October Conference program and register now by clicking on “Sign Up Here” at the bottom of the pink or green boxes.
Many of you are already committed to projects within your discipline or teaching-focused workshops like Experiential Learning or Perceptual Learning Application. That’s great! But if not, we ask you to consider workshops about neurodiversity support, withdrawal process, DEIB, facilities planning, welcoming spaces, learning management systems, and other college-wide topics.
As of this writing, for example, no faculty are signed up for the project looking at expansion of early college and dual-enrollment programs. We need to make sure we have faculty representation in all the groups making decisions about these important issues.
Projects listed in the pink boxes are “closed” groups. Attendance is limited to faculty and staff directly affected by the topic. You can contact the project lead if you are not sure whether the group is appropriate for you. The projects in green boxes are open to all faculty and staff. Sign up for just one project; you will work on it throughout the day.
A reminder that attendance at October Conference is required for full-time faculty and staff, and is a paid event for adjunct faculty. We can’t wait for this special day of good work, good company, good donuts, and a good drubbing for the staff at the kickball game!!
