CIE is pleased to announce our lineup of Learning Communities for January PD. Take a look at the description of the Learning Communities, then sign up for the one that interests you. But beware: They are all intriguing topics, so it won’t be an easy choice! 

Here’s the plan. Rather than attend a full-group PD workshop after lunch on Jan. 8, we will meet in smaller Learning Communities for study and discussion. The Learning Communities will meet on Jan. 8 for one to two hours, with one or two follow-up meetings to be scheduled by the facilitator and the group.

Shorter, multiple meetings will give us more time to learn and reflect on the topics. Learning Communities may opt to continue after the initial two or three meetings, but full-time faculty are required to attend for only three hours total.   

Note that one of the Learning Communities meets all three hours on Jan. 8 and another is an asynchronous session for adjunct instructors who can’t meet face-to-face. Adjunct instructors are invited to join any of the Learning Communities and will be paid for three hours. .
