The Sherry Fest Accessibility Challenge kicks off this week and boy do we have some tasty treats in store for you!

A total of 27 faculty and staff have signed up for the semester-long challenge, and there’s still time to sign up if you’d like to join us. Participants who complete the challenge will receive a gift card to the Hawk Owl Café and be entered into a drawing for an NMC hoodie.

Every other week, you’ll be challenged to complete a new module in the Accessibility Fundamentals course covering a different delicious aspect of accessibility and ADA compliance. This week’s juicy module, “Introduction to Accessibility & ADA Compliance,” focuses on defining accessibility, understanding relevant laws and policies, and exploring why it matters to you and your students.

Your objective is to complete the entire module (including the Intro Knowledge Check quiz) and to apply the concepts to your course content when applicable. To keep up with the challenge, complete Module 1 by Sunday, October 12th. Use the “Questions” discussion in Module 1 if any mouthwatering questions pop up as you learn.
