Thank you to the 25 or so faculty who joined us for the Faculty Advising Input Session at the October Friday Forum. This session was designed to gather focus group feedback for the development of the program’s training system and to discuss needs and considerations. The input and dialog were useful and insightful!
Lindsey Dickinson and I shared about new faculty advising responsibilities scheduled to begin in earnest next year, including contract terms of responsibilities as well as the timeline for training and launch. We then proceeded to gather input from faculty with a Gallery Walk, highlighting needs for seven important areas of the training and program. You will see them and more in the attached slides presentation.
For faculty who were unable to attend (and for anyone else interested in further review), please see the linked slide presentation for more. The slides have most everything you need to get up to speed. There are also links and encouragement to share input with Lindsey and me as you are able. Please do so. Your teacherly insights and sharing of relevant needs will help us create an effective program for our students and for ourselves in offering it.
Thank you for all you do in supporting student success and completion at NMC!
