Your Academic & Career Advising Center team is excited to roll out the *new* Advisor Training Canvas Course! This collaborative project is an effort to create a consistent and accessible learning environment for all faculty and staff at NMC who advise students as part of their job description or duties. 

• What will this course teach me? Using a “flipped classroom” model, this course is meant to provide direct instruction and information about advising students at NMC using online modules that include foundational content, videos, reading, quizzes and discussion questions. This course will be a prerequisite for companion practicum workshops offered later this spring and before the start of Fall semester at NMC. 
• How long will this take, and what is the completion deadline?
  Based on early reviews, we estimate the course will take approximately 4-6 hours to complete. Modules must be completed before you attend practicum workshops in early May. We’re launching the course now so you have plenty of time to work on it. This course will always be available in Canvas, so it is meant to be something you can start and stop, review and reference throughout your time as an advisor!
