Thursday, April 3 at 3 pm Bitwarden Password Manager Training
A one-hour class on the basics of using Bitwarden Password Manager.  This class will cover installing the extension, managing your vault, creating and saving items such as logins (passwords), cards, identities, and secure notes; and managing folders.  We will also review the password generator options and look at Reports.  Please request your Bitwarden account from athornton@nmc.edu and have your Bitwarden “confirmed” by providing athornton@nmc.edu with your fingerprint phrase (under Settings>My Account in Bitwarden.com) before class. 
Wednesday, April 9  at 12 pm AI Prompting…the best way to get started using AI

Are you curious about AI and how it can help you?  Learn about working with the AI Large Language Models (LLM’s like Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.ai) to brainstorm, summarize, explain topics, find information on the web, respond to complex prompts, and logical reasoning.  Come to this hands-on practice session on AI Prompting!

Tuesday, April 15 at 3 pm AI Toolkit:  Applying AI to your workflow

This is a workshop designed to explore LLM’s (like Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.ai) to streamline routine tasks, facilitate literature review, create educational content, and improve communication.  You will learn how LLM’s can be tailored to your specific role and area of expertise. (Please take AI Prompting before signing up for this class.)

Thursday, April 24 at 12 pm Google’s Notebook LM and Intro to Learn LM

Google Notebook LM can automatically generate a summary, briefing doc, or other docs of your uploaded documents and/or create a podcast from your uploaded documents.  Your personal data is not used to train Notebook LM, so any private or sensitive information you have in your sources will stay private, unless you choose to share your sources with collaborators. Additionally, this course will provide an introductory overview of LearnLM, Google’s initiative focused on developing AI models tailored for education, highlighting its potential to personalize learning experiences and enhance pedagogical tools, paving the way for future AI-driven educational advancements.  

Tuesday, April 29 at 12 pm All About Google Forms & Form Approval

You can gather information, upload files, and add pictures to forms for your class, your clients, or your department and analyze it using Google Forms and Google Sheets.  Great for exit forms, collecting topic or student information on your phone with a quick form.  Also a quick overview of the Form Approval Add-On for creating workflows for approvals, signatures, and more!
