Thinking about traveling for professional development this academic year? If you didn’t travel last year, you are eligible to travel to a conference or other PD opportunity this year. Please share your plans with your chair and fill out the Faculty PD Request form. Most faculty attend conferences, but we are happy to discuss other professional development opportunities. This applies to full time and adjunct faculty. 

A reminder that CIE has a new policy: Full-time and adjunct faculty can attend local conferences and webinars every year, spending up to $500. This includes the TC Lilly Conference (Oct. 8-10) even though it’s a little more than $500. 

To sign up for Lilly, please contact CIE office manager Tracy Welch instead of using the PD Request form. We get a discount by registering as a group. 

Another opportunity for technical faculty is the TRENDS conference Oct. 22-25 in Muskegon. To sign up for this conference, contact Kim Gourlay.
