As we explore accessibility in online learning at NMC, EMT would like your help in gathering information that will help us determine how much video usage is occurring in our online courses. Please take a few moments to participate in this Google survey. The information we gather from the survey will help us identify where we are at now as we plan for the future.

How can you help?

• Help us by completing the attached survey as thoroughly as possible.
• Identify copyrighted videos you use in your course.
• Any new DVD purchases should come with closed captioning.
• If you are creating your own videos, create a transcript to go with the video.
• If you are using videos from other sources, we recommend that they are captioned (CC) or have a transcript.

One change you may notice going forward, is that copyrighted videos in your course will be recorded with the captions turned on.
