What is an ePortfolio?
An ePortfolio is a student-created website that showcases the coursework, learning, connections and reflections that individual students have made while attending NMC. It’s common for students to save coursework digitally on a harddrive somewhere or to delete or even throw away coursework forever once they complete a course, certificate, or degree plan at any institution.
The ePortfolio not only allows students a place to archive and preserve this important work, but also offers them a place to critically reflect on that work and present the work and learning to potential employers, colleagues, and clients as they enter or continue working in their industry.
Preserve
Don’t throw it away! Use your ePortfolio to save your coursework, essays, projects, images, videos, presentations, and more.
Personalize
Customize the look, feel, and design of your ePortfolio to match your personal style and to capture all the characteristics that make you unique.
Present
Showcase selected coursework, personal reflections on what you’ve learned, and your talents and strengths to potential employers and clients.
What goes into an ePortfolio?
Your ePortfolio is completely customizable and can reflect your unique style, skills, and qualifications. Your ePortfolio can include:

- resumes, CVs, professional statements, and contact forms
- different file types (various text documents, pictures, videos, etc.)
- examples of student writing, course projects, and performances
- evidence of extracurricular or co-curricular activities
- evidence of internships or apprenticeships
- reflections, evaluations and letters of recommendation
