Wednesday, May 7 at 10 am AI Prompting: Crafting Conversations with AI

Are you curious about AI and how it can help you?  Learn about working with the AI Large Language Models (LLM’s like Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.ai) to brainstorm, summarize, explain topics, find information on the web, respond to complex prompts, and logical reasoning.  Come to this hands-on practice session on AI Prompting!

Thursday, May 8 at 10 am AI Toolkit:  Applying AI to your Workflow

This is a workshop designed to explore LLM’s (like Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.ai) to streamline routine tasks, facilitate literature review, create educational content, and improve communication.  You will learn how LLM’s can be tailored to your specific role and area of expertise. (Please take AI Prompting before signing up for this class.)

Tuesday, May 13 at 10 am Google’s Notebook LM and Intro to Learn LM

Google Notebook LM can automatically generate a summary, briefing doc, or other docs of your uploaded documents and/or create a podcast from your uploaded documents.  Your personal data is not used to train Notebook LM, so any private or sensitive information you have in your sources will stay private, unless you choose to share your sources with collaborators. Additionally, this course will provide an introductory overview of LearnLM, Google’s initiative focused on developing AI models tailored for education, highlighting its potential to personalize learning experiences and enhance pedagogical tools, paving the way for future AI-driven educational advancements.
