October Conference happens tomorrow! Choose your sessions in the linked program and set your alarm clocks now! Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of the day.
- Swag flies early! Stuffed Swoops and other NMC merch will soar off the stage and into the happy hands of lucky attendees. You could be among them, but only if you come to the opening session in the Milliken Auditorium. The program starts at 8:30 AM.
- Donuts, yes! Gallagher’s donuts, gluten-free donuts, and lots of coffee will be served in the Dennos Sculpture Court starting at 8 AM. Mingle and munch!
- Don’t miss the Opening Panel! Leaders from Munson, Hagerty, TCAPS, Interlochen, and GVSU will share how their organizations are navigating AI. During the session, community experts in law, security, business, and the arts will share their insights into the opportunities and challenges of the technology.
- Wear your nametags and welcome our community guests. We will be joined by about two dozen community members this year, including panelists, presenters, and guests. We expect some trustees and Foundation board members to join us as well.
- Wear or bring your comfy clothes because CORN HOLE happens after Session 4 outside the Innovation Center. Marcus Bennett is running that show, so you know it will be fun! Fuel up for the games with apples, cider, popcorn, and more donuts inside the Innovation Center.
- Sign in, especially if you’re an adjunct instructor! Adjuncts get paid for attending, but only if we know that you came!
- Stick around for Session 4 when you’ll get a chance to debrief and discuss what AI means for your department. Jason Slade and Nick Nissley will Zoom into your room with final thoughts for the day!
