Would you like to work with your colleagues in a collaborative, supportive environment? Would you like to investigate an interesting topic or explore a new practice? If so, consider starting or participating in a learning community. Last year, five learning communities comprised of faculty and staff took place. These communities focused on using APA style, Reading Apprenticeship, gamification of course content, accessibility, and using the museum in the classroom. If you have a topic you would like to explore, consider facilitating or joining a group. We will kick off the new round of learning communities at the October PD day–come to the session about learning communities or stop by the LC open house during lunch.
For more information or to propose a group, contact Kristen Salathiel or Kay Harris.
