Why would I want to check the speed of my Internet connection?

Checking the speed of your Internet connection is important to know for many reasons, including knowing if you have enough bandwidth for streaming video & audio, connecting to a video meeting like Zoom, or downloading large document files. If you don’t have enough bandwidth it will restrict the activities you need to complete.

How do I check the speed of my Internet connection?

To check the speed of your Internet connection, go to Google.com and in the search area type “speedtest.” An Internet speed test link will show up at the top of the search results. Click on the blue Run Speed Test.

The results will give you an explanation of your Internet capacity from the download and upload speeds that the test detected.
