Do you have an innovative idea that would be beneficial to NMC? If so, you are welcome to submit a proposal to the Office of Possibilities (OOPs) for Education. We welcome all ideas from students, faculty, and staff that align with the NMC strategic plan! 

You can find the Request for Proposals and Application on the newly launched OOPs for Education webpage. Proposals are due by March 20, 2026. All proposals will go through an initial review. The top-scoring proposals will move forward to an NMC pitch competition held on April 23, during Northern Michigan Startup Week. Awards will typically range from $500-$10K. Whether to issue funding and the amount of funding to issue will be up to the discretion of the OOPs for Education Review Committee.
