Swag, donuts, corn hole, and too many sessions to choose from — another October Conference is in the rearview mirror. If you didn’t catch a Swoop or snag an extra donut, you’ll have to wait until next October. If you missed a session, however, we can help you out.

Our session presenters have graciously shared the slides and other material from their presentations. Here is a link to a folder with the presentations

And here’s a link to another folder with dozens of photos of faculty and staff. Check it out! We would like more photos of the CIE Swag Squad, since Lisa Blackford is missing from this one. If anyone captured the moment on your phone, please share.

This October Conference was bigger than usual; the Hawk Owl Café estimated they served approximately 260 people. The crowd included at least two dozen outside presenters and their team members. Participation from the community was amazing — no one turned us down. They were all excited to share professional development and talk AI with NMC. They thanked us for the invitation. That says a lot about NMC’s reputation.

Next up, CIE and the Professional Development Institute will review the results of the conference survey, which closed Friday, to see which sessions should be reprised and what you’d like to see changed for next year. Stay tuned!

Last but not least, a huge thank you to my planning partners, Lori Hodek and Tracy Welch, the CIE board, the faculty and staff presenters, moderators, and facilitators. We are grateful to all the generous folks who provided support for facilities, tech, food service, program design, conference running, popcorn popping, letter pushing, and more. We couldn’t do it without you, literally!
