Summer is a great time to explore something you haven’t had the time or mental energy for during the academic year. And whether you are ready to dive head first into equity grading, you’re still not sure what un-grading, evidence based reporting (EBR), standards based grading or equity grading are and look like in the classroom or you are entirely unconvinced we should be spending institutional time on the issue of grading at all, we have resources for you.

  • Do you believe that grades should accurately reflect the learning that has taken place and the content standards that have been mastered in your course?
  • Do you believe grades should be as resistant to bias as possible?
  • Would you prefer grades motivate students to keep trying, working and learning as opposed to shutting them down?

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, you owe it to yourself and your students to find out more. Dig deeper. See where it takes you.
