The couple weeks prior to Professional Development Day I had the privilege to go out as a reporter for CIE and PDI to capture stories about how faculty and staff support student success. I would walk into each department on campus unannounced and seek out those willing to take part in a very exciting opportunity. What an awesome experience to see how many people were wiling to be a part of this project. It made me happy to be part of this great community we have here at NMC.
No matter what our position is here at the college we are all here for the same purpose to help our students be successful. I was lucky enough to capture stories from so many of our faculty and staff that there was no way to include them all in this one video. If we would have added them all we would have had to take the afternoon to watch them all. That video is not the end of the project. I will be sharing more of the clips that I captured on my week out on the road. I also have a funny reel to show you of the exciting bloopers that I captured on my way.
This experience made me excited to be part of an amazing community that cares so much about their students. Please watch for upcoming editions of the SCOOP for more video clips on Student Success.
For those of you who were not able to attend Professional Development Day, here is the video that was created from my time out on the road. Don’t forget to watch for more exciting opportunities for other ways the NMC community supports students coming soon.
