Flipgrid is a free, user-friendly, and ADA-compliant platform for creating video-based discussions. Popular among K-12 teachers, Flipgrid is gaining traction in higher education because of its ease of use and the demand to create interactive and engaging online activities.

Several NMC faculty are already using Flipgrid. Creating an account is simple for both faculty and students. If you’d like to learn more, please consider attending a Zoom PD session facilitated by Dr. Terri Gustafson on January 5th from 11:00 – 12:00.  (The recording of this meeting is now available to watch on our PD Portal.)

We’re encouraging the use of Flipgrid as an alternative to VoiceThread, a similar platform we’ve been recommending for the past few years, due to usability issues encountered by students and faculty.
