On a recent visit to the Osterlin Building to talk with Katie Sommer-Ford, NMC Academic & Career Advisor, about the Lightcast Career Coach modules featured on some of our program webpages, I couldn’t help but notice all of the wonderfully interesting things in her office. Originally from New Hampshire, Katie lived in Florida and Colorado before landing in Michigan and starting at NMC as the Advising Office Manager in January of 2020 (right as COVID changed everything). Katie is a very colorful person, as is her office, and she agreed to let me tell a bit of her story through some of her things. Check it out:
Thanks for letting me share some pictures of your things, Katie. It was nice to get to know you a little more.
If you’re reading this, please consider attending Katie and Bridget’s “Understanding Generational Differences” Friday Forum on March 7th in TJNIC104/05. It’s a very insightful session. You can register in NeoEd. Also, please leave a comment to let Katie know what you think about her stuff. Or, let me know if you know a good candidate for the next What’s on Your Desk.
