Center for Teaching and Learning

Did you know NMC has a Center for Teaching and Learning? If your answer is no, you are not out of the loop. Just before March 2020, Kristen Salathiel and I consulted with the CIE Committee and Ed Tech team to create a place for both our groups to exist under. We already collaborated on so many events, meetings, and professional development opportunities for faculty (including sharing a Google Calendar) so it was natural to create this umbrella name. The move of the Ed Tech offices from the Osterlin Building to the Innovation Center in 2020 created the physical space, but we also co-exist virtually through teaching.nmc.edu. 

What is the physical location of the CTL? It is room 25 in the Innovation Center. Here you will find the Ed Tech offices, the CIE Book Collection (check out a book!), and coming soon CIE Office Hours with Janet Lively (the new-ish CIE Director).
