One of my favorite things to do on campus is to pop around to different pods and office spaces to be a nuisance, create a distraction, and see what cool things people brought into work. You can learn a lot about person by looking at the things on their desk.

I say this a lot, but one of the best parts of my job is that I get to meet and work with faculty in all academic areas and staff in just about every department. I know that not everyone has that luxury, so I thought I’d start a new column called What’s on your desk?

The idea is to feature different NMC employee offices and take pictures of their things so we can all learn a little about them. I’ll always get permission, of course, but if you see me coming feel free to invite me in or slam your door.
