Last year, Ed Tech hosted office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But with the Canvas roll-out this fall, it became clear that more office hours — and more locations — were needed. Indeed, as if scripted to punctuate this desire, the following, surprisingly intense, exchange was overheard at a Saturday breakfast meeting between colleagues:

Faculty Member: I’m free midday that Thursday. Beyond that, I’ll have to check my calendar.
Ed Tech Rep: Good. Check it. Fill it. We’ll keep coming. You want another office hour? Say the word. Instead of coming to us, we’ll come to you. You done?
Faculty Member: No.
Ed Tech Rep: That’s another office hour right now! You want another one?
Faculty Member: Yes.
Ed Tech Rep: You got it. Boom — another office hour. Keep going and we’ll cover the rest of the semester, pal!

And thus, the Office Hours Club was born. Here’s the full schedule for the remainder of the fall semester:

Of course, you do not need to wait for Eric and Ben’s office hours to get assistance. The Educational Technology office is located in the basement of the Timothy J. Nelson Innovation Center and we are available via walk-ins, Help Desk tickets, emails, phone calls, Zoom invites, or, in emergencies, by a scream loud enough to shatter a library study room window.
