Do you have an innovative idea that promotes lifelong learning, advances educational offerings, facilitates student or employee success, creates organizational efficiencies, or improves campus life at NMC? Do you have an enterprising student who needs support? Come to Coffee Club on Sep. 18 to learn how the “new” Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship can provide funding and guidance.
Lisa Rabaut, Innovation & Strategic Growth Project Manager, will join us to discuss the transformation of the former Office of Possibilities into the college-focused office it is today. While OOPs had a community focus, the new effort is targeted to students, faculty, and staff.
Current programs include a grant program for faculty and staff and a pitch competition for students. The revamped program is just getting started, and Lisa, who comes to NMC via the University of Michigan, has a number of ideas for expanding its offerings. She emphasizes that innovation and entrepreneurship is not just for tech and business, encouraging faculty and students from all programs to participate.
Coffee Club meets from 10-11 in the Library Reading Room. CIE provides coffee (of course) and snacks.
