We’re three weeks and one day away from October Conference on Oct. 13, and we’re so hyped for this year’s program!
Our own faculty and staff have stepped up to provide sessions on a variety of topics ranging from technology strategies to classroom practices and belonging to breaking down barriers. Check out the conference schedule to start the difficult process of deciding which sessions to attend!
CIE and the Professional Development Institute are also excited about our keynote speaker Dr. Rebecca Pope-Ruark, who will discuss the need to reframe burnout in academia. The author of two books on the topic, Pope-Ruark will define burnout, discuss causes, and offer solutions to mitigate the problem. She will lead two workshop sessions in addition to her keynote.
As always, we will have lots of donuts and lots of coffee starting at 8 am in the Dennos. The opening program in Milliken Auditorium will feature the Swag Squad back by popular demand. Then it’s four tracks of sessions split up by lunch. We end the day with snacks in the Innovation Center, and a chance to debrief.
Adjunct instructors are welcome and encouraged to join us. You’ll get a stipend for the day.
