Camtasia and Snagit are powerful educational technologies that can have many practical applications for instructors. Both technologies fall into the category of screen recording/screen capture tools, and (depending on what you want to accomplish) you’ll use either one or the other. The best part is that NMC now has a bundled site license for both, and anyone on campus is free to use them. Watch the videos below and keep reading to learn more.

About Camtasia

Camtasia Studio is a great way to create professional looking videos without being a video pro. If you’re looking to create a professional presentation — something refined and polished — it can be done using Camtasia’s feature-rich video editor. Watch the video below to get a preview of what’s possible.

About Snagit

Snagit can also be used to create and share short, informal videos, but it’s primarily used for making quick work of taking screenshots and providing feedback. Watch the video below to learn more.
