Both technologies fall into the category of screen recording/screen capture tools, and (depending on what you want to accomplish) you’ll use either one or the other. About Camtasia

Installing Camtasia & Snagit
To get a Camtasia Studio and/or Snagit license, follow the instructions below:
- Request a license by submitting an NMC help desk request. Be sure the request type is Computer Software Issues (not Banner).
- In the request details, state that you’d like Camtasia Studio and/or Snagit. Once you submit the request, Desktop Support will download and install the software(s) on your machine.
