Notice: To all instructors currently using a copyright film(s) in a Moodle shell.
We are sending you this information so that you are aware of the new changes to the policy regarding copyright films. In and effort to get every Moodle shell copyright video compliant, we are asking you to trim your videos down to just the amount needed for the purpose of the course.
If you need to use the entire film, then the following requirements need to be met in order to remain in compliance with the TEACH Act:
- It must be a required film (not extra credit or optional)
- It must be tied to an assignment
- Only available for 7 days (Date controlled through Ensemble)
- Have a TEACH Act form filled out.
Any copyright video that has not been made compliant by the end of spring semester will not be available until the necessary forms have been filled out.
If you have any questions or concerns or to set up an appointment to get your course copyright video compliant please contact Michelle Autry at mautry@nmc.edu or 5-1075.
The new forms (click here for new form) have to be filled out and on file or your videos will not play.
