Did you know that Moodle forums have a built in word count feature?

To apply to your forums:

• Open Edit settings.
• Expand the Attachments and word count.
• Set Display word count to Yes.
• Scroll down and select Save and display.

Once this setting is applied, students and instructors will see the word count displayed after the post is saved.
