Date Course Name
Friday, September 11, from 12 – 1:30 pm Notebook LM (now called Gemini Notebook) Deep Dive – Anyone who works with students, research, or specific sources of information should take this Deep Dive to learn Google Notebook LM and all their powerful new features.  Notebook LM is a tool that can chat with your resources, automatically generate study guides, flashcards, quizzes, and even podcasts or videos from your uploaded materials. Your personal data remains private—Notebook LM does not use your content to train its models, and your sources stay secure unless you choose to share them. Everyone will leave with practical strategies for integrating these tools to support student success.
Wednesday, September 16 from 12 – 1 pm Google Gems – Discover how to transform your existing documents into a personalized AI assistant using Google Gems. In this practical, one-hour course, you will learn how to take a knowledge base you have already created—such as FAQs, training manuals, student knowledge, or project files—and use it to build a custom AI Assistant tailored to your specific needs. We will cover how to properly connect your reference materials, write clear instructions to guide the AI’s persona and behavior, and test your Gem to ensure it delivers accurate, context-specific responses. By the end of this session, you will know how to build a private, specialized AI assistant that can instantly answer questions, draft content, or analyze data based strictly on your own information.
