You’ve perhaps heard of NISOD (the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development) but do you wonder just what they do? They describe themselves as an organization that “provides budget-friendly, high-quality, and faculty-focused programs and resources for community and technical colleges that want to make the most of their professional development dollars.” We belong to NISOD, and as a result, we get access to a wide variety of webinars as well as Innovation Abstracts–their teaching and learning publication. In the past, we had an institutional membership with a general institution-wide log in which we linked to at the bottom of the newsletter each month. However, NISOD has moved to an individual log-in system recently, so now to get access please follow these directions. I think you will find lots of great articles and other resources through NISOD, and when you find something especially good, let me or Mark DeLonge know and we’ll include the link in our next newsletter!
