I have been intrigued as of late, with the vast influx of Mindfulness and Mediation Information available today. What intrigues me more, however, is that when I incorporate these techniques and information into my classroom, the students respond favorably. They ask for the opportunity to be mindful, to work on brain-body exercises and further, to learn how these techniques actually work in the brain and other systems. As an Anatomy & Physiology instructor, this content is applicable and experiential in our class. Interestingly, my military students share stories of these very practices as they impact their service work and training. Quite frankly, by focusing on such content and skills, I benefit from the practice and study as well!
