Time. There is never enough.
But maybe, just maybe you have time to share one sentence. Share an idea or piece of advice that someone mentioned at the copy machine or heard at a conference workshop or read in a book or blog post. Did you receive a tip when you were just starting to teach that stuck with you through the years?
Here’s something that was shared with me before starting my first year teaching 3rd grade in Houghton Lake –
“Make sure to be nice to the office staff and the janitors. They are people you want on your side.” Sherry DeLonge
And she was absolutely correct.
Please take a moment and share a one sentence teaching tip for others at NMC by commenting at the bottom of this post.

“Always have a back up plan.” -Kat Dillon (My student teaching supervisor)
“When there is a serious disagreement all learning stops. ” – Tom Gilbert
They won’t care how much you know until they know how much you care!
