Intern_WorkshopAccording to the Government Accountability Office, by 2016 more than a third of the Federal Government workforce will be eligible to retire. Today, in Michigan, nearly 15% of state government employees are eligible to retire. Federal and state government agencies have partnered with the Michigan Career Educator and Employer Alliance, (MCEEA), to increase awareness and knowledge about government internships/careers and develop potential employees needed to fill these positions. NMC’s Advising Center is hosting “Intern with the Government” on Wednesday, April 9. This free workshop is open to all college students in this region. This event will cover topics including the Federal Pathways program, career opportunities, application information, and more. Registration is not required.

This event will take place 3–5 p.m. in O-205  (Osterlin Building).
