Thank you once again to the entire NMC community for another great day of learning with and from each other at the 2019 October Conference–it was such fun! 59 different colleagues presented 43 great sessions, and while I have attended many national conferences, these sessions were as informative and well-led as any of them. From ePortfolios to computer security to relaxation techniques at the computer to dealing with difficult students to ADP to textbook tectonics, these sessions covered a broad range of topics focused on our specific interests and needs here at NMC. My own biggest takeaway was from Terri Gustafson and Chris Hanna’s session on using 5S to organize my work space. Terri was even kind enough to come do a personal consultation the next week on my very DIS-organized work space. Thanks to what I’ve learned, I am slowly sorting through the piles and making sense of all that mess.
