This is year 7 of the Writing Challenge! And in honor of the “Be What’s Possible” campaign, we would love for you to “Write What’s Possible!” Each year the writing challenge has grown and this year we would love to have a record-setting number of people participate. It isn’ too hard.
This year’s challenge will begin the week of October 21 and will be completed on November 11. You are invited to participate by writing 4 pieces of writing over 4 weeks that are each 16 sentences long (give or take). Each week instructors will have their writing published on the teaching@NMC site and receive a small incentive provided by CIE for completing their writing. Week one’s incentive is a pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. You pick the flavor and it will be delivered to your office. Spoon included.
You write, and CIE rewards you for sharing your thoughts about teaching and learning. You can look back at past years’ writing by visiting the 4x4x16 archives.
What are the rules?
The only rule is that you need to write about teaching and learning. Please don’t let the technology discourage you. If you can write a Word document, we can help you put your writing on the website.
The first posts will be published on October 25 and conclude their 4-week run finishing Friday, November 15. It really isn’t too difficult to write at least 16 sentences. In fact, you have just finished reading 16+ sentences in this blog post.
